Consequence Audio proudly presents the final MK III generation of the popular triode Pre/Main Amplifier »Satie HP«, which features improved driver circuits, silver coil transmitters and an optimized layout. Technically and musically the Satie HP Pre/Main Amplifier resembles the luxurious, uncompromising Mono Power Amplifier »Satie Mono 22 SE« and comprises an external ultra low noise power supply.
The »Satie HP« employs high power 211 triodes (VT 4 C), which are similar in their tonal and electric characteristics to the legendary WE 300B. Yet the 211 provide solid 20 Watts output power per channel and thus achieve impressive authority in the low bass range.
The musical performance of the »Satie HP« meets highest expectations in an excellent triode: homogeneous und detailed, warm timbre and rich tone colors. Instruments and voices reverb with tangible body and precise contours. They are ‘visibly’ located at exactly defined positions on an extremely spacious sound stage.

Due to its high output power, the »Satie HP« enables completely effortless music reproduction even with speakers of only medium sensitivity (> 88 dB) and performs outstandingly with superior dynamic response: quite unusual for a triode amplifier, large orchestras, horn sections and drum solos sound impressively powerful and with explosive attack.
As a genuine Consequence Audio product, the »Satie HP« Pre/Main Amplifier is entirely handcrafted in Germany in more than 250 hours of manual labor.

The amplifier is made of exclusive audiophile components of predominantly German production such as Mundorf Supreme© foil capacitors, specially made high voltage electrolytic capacitors, non-magnetic Vishay resistors, etc. For safety reasons the power supplies are built on circuit boards, while the signal path is freely wired by hand. The output stage employs similar types of the excellent Teflon-insulated silver coil transmitters that are used in the Satie Mono Power Amplifiers. Extremely generous capacitances are provided to stabilize all DC voltages in the »Satie HP« Amplifier. The ULN-power supply comprises filter chokes for the anode voltages and the cathode heaters.

The circuitry is first assembled in a rugged aluminum chassis. Later, the outer enclosure (solid wood frame, brass cover plate, and hood) is placed over the chassis like a car body and attached to it in a resonance-avoiding way. The use of non-magnetic metals eliminates undesirable magnetic effects. Together with the wooden frame, an optimum suppression of microphonic resonances is achieved.

Underscoring the premium quality of its interior, the brass cover plate and the massive bronze control elements of the »Satie HP« are palladium-plated and polished to mirror finish. Optionally, burl wood finished wood frames are available on request.
